Elizabeth is a Cuban-American writer, illustrator and painter specializing in middle grade and young adult. Her stories blend epic adventures with fierce Latina heroines who tackle life with a mix of courage, wit and a dash of Spanglish. Her art, which includes traditional and digital illustrations as well as dreamy oil portraits, brings these worlds to life.

By day, Elizabeth works at an award-winning communications agency, but storytelling has always been her passion - particularly since writing her first novel at fifteen.

Elizabeth has lived in Miami and Brooklyn, and currently resides in New Orleans with her two adorable cats. You can usually find her strolling through the streets of New Orleans, iced latte in hand and occasionally savoring the jamón ibérico along the coasts of Spain.
